The quest for Spring is in full swing now here in the middle of nowhere. We’re anxiously awaiting the first sign of melting snow
and lord knows we have enough of it to melt!! We’re going to need the temperatures to rise above zero though and it’s two below as we speak so not much happening on the melting front yet. It is March so one would hope we’re on the downside of winter here soon. But on the off chance that doesn’t happen for a while I’m creating my own Spring of sorts in the kitchen.
I’m going to call this sea foam and I plan on dying up a whole bunch more tomorrow! It reminds me of the pool water. But for tonight I’m going to have to snuggle up in my newly finished winter blues socks
with my little buddies for company
because I’m afraid Spring might just be a ways off!!
Greetings!

I'm Lilly Bean, the official overseerer of LouLou, who's always busy with some yarn project. Come in and stay as long as you like! She won't mind...she loves visitors!

Socks are so beautiful! I really love the little flower, what a great idea! Still snowing here today so spring is still a ways away.
Stay warm!
Hey, a good present for my bday would be blue socks!!
Seafoam, such a perfect name! Gorgeous color, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it either. I’m glad to hear you are keeping warm and cosy with the help of those pretty blue socks!
Gorgeous socks. That color blue makes me happy. I can’t believe that snow! That’s just amazing.
I can think of a few other choice words to describe all this snow but I better keep those to myself.
The socks are awesome! I’m sure they will keep your feet warm until spring gets there….it looks like that might be a while. We will need to have a convo once I get my wool clean about dying it…something I’ve never done
Where do you live? Living near the base of Mt. Hood near Portland, OR, I have noted that I can enjoy looking at the snow on Mt. Hood, but I do not have to shovel it…a lovely arrangement I highly recommend
However, I am noting you are producing fabulous fiber projects …perhaps being snowed in helps?
xx, Gracie
Now that’s what I call putting a positive spin on being snowed in!!! Although I tend to be totally into the fiber stuff even in the summer.
