Lesson Learned!!

That big chunk of pink fluff that Louie swallowed made it’s reappearance at about 4:00 o’clock this morning and it unfortunately bore absolutely no resemblance to it’s former yummy cotton candy form!!  YUK!!!  It now looked more like one of Lilly Beans monster hair balls !! ;-/  And even though it was the butt crack of dawn I was ready to throw a party anyway just because I was so happy he was alright and could get rid of it with out any problems…..WHEW……that little sweet heart of mine.  No more playing under the spinning wheel for him!!!  From now on it’s in the kitchen under lock and key for that little munchkin.  :D   At least until the spinning is done for the day.  Learned a good lesson there!! IMG_3782 So we awoke to a bit warmer temps today and shortly after turning out the big guys I settled in with my morning cup of Jo and finished up those Gold Leaf socks of mine!IMG_3773I love this pattern!!  I love these socks!  They turned out great and it was a very pleasing knit……not to complicated but just enough detail to keep one interested and engaged.IMG_3792I really like that not only is the heel done in the eye of the partridge stitch but the toe is as well!!IMG_3809It makes for a very pretty and sturdy sock……and with that leaf pattern going up the front…….ya just gotta love em, right?!  I see myself making another pair in a nice shade of gold!!!  They are called Gold Leaf after all,  so it’s only right that I make a pair in gold!!

About loulouandlillybean

I'm a pretty cool chick who's pretty much consumed with yarn and fiber........I love spinning it, knitting it, crocheting it, dyeing it, shopping for it, buying it, winding it into balls.....you get the picture. And I have a whole bunch of furry little friends that love watching me do my thing!

Whew…..what a scare. I had a cat that did that and it cost me $300 in vet bills. I am very careful about where my fiber ends up now. I had a bad habit of throwing the bad bits on the floor. I have also had to put my yarn under lock and key and wouldn’t you know-they got into the embroidery floss last night. Buggers.
Love those socks. The pattern on the heel and toe is lovely. I am going to have to give it a try.

That would have scared me to death as well, I’m so so glad to hear that he is alright! Keeping him contained is probably a good idea, although I’m not sure how you will be able to resist his charms and not let him out.

The socks look so nice. The pattern is in my queue and I’ll make them for sure. Happy to know that Louis pulled thru.

So glad Louis is fine. Socks … I have a pair( Actually one) winking at me as I have managed the tube but that is it. I will get there one day, maybe, perhaps,???
    Kindest Regards Linda
